Not only has rick bailey damaged Daniel Thwaites plc reputation by his appalling behaviour he has by association also implicated his in-laws, the Yerburgh family who happen to be its main shareholders

Daniel Thwaites PLC has again failed to pay a number of overdue invoices and whilst in disputes like this there are arguments and counter arguments surely those invoices that are not being contested should be paid accordingly and then focus one’s attention on those invoices that are being contested. Who knows, if Thwaites concedes and authorises those uncontested invoices for payment then perhaps their Creditor might agree to suspend publication of relevant areas of the prevailing network whilst negotiations are taking place.
On a more serious matter the Creditor has been made aware of an allegation tendered by Thwaites that the said notices are a form of extortion, and further hinted that perhaps the Police should be informed. However, Thwaites should remember they may not be on solid ground themselves in that context because in an earlier letter posted online there was an allegation that one of their employees, the Pub Marketing Manager phoned the Creditor on the 9th March and tried to coerce his company into cancelling an outstanding invoice for £285 (see Invoice 26861 below). Adding if that was acceptable they would authorise immediate payment of the other 4 outstanding invoices (amounting to £760) but this was immediately rejected by their Creditor, the female employee then stated none of the invoices would be paid and as of the 1st May that is still the status quo. It later transpired that the Director of Pubs and Brewing business had previously authorised the female employee to make this offer on behalf of Daniel Thwaites PLC.
Furthermore, a week later when Richard Bailey, Thwaites Executive Chairman was informed of what happened he condoned his colleague's actions by failing to intervene. In behaving in this manner he not only shamed himself but also shamed his company. The question is what sort of message does it convey to Daniel Thwaites PLC other suppliers and surely they will also view it as corporate extortion?

POOR QUALITY SERVICE
The service was very poor and I was not impressed with the quality. Waiting staff were lounging around and watched me eat which made me feel very uncomfortable. Felt like I was rushed out of the restaurant and given the bill without me even asking for it! WOULD NOT RETURN

Well situated but otherwise poor.
Room service poor- some food undercooked. Requested a ground floor room and had this confirmed by the hotel. Arrived to be given a room on floor 3 with no option to move. Room and communal areas very dated. Various stains in room. Communication with the spa very poor. Not enough staff at breakfast causing delays and inaccuracies in orders for group. For the cost of the room I would expect a better standard. Noise from other rooms was distracting.

UNTRUSTWORTHY STAFF
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for a friends wedding. When I checked out Saturday morning I realised within 15 minutes that I had left my toiletries in the bathroom and phoned the hotel straight away to inform them as cleaners had not yet been to my room to clean. A lady on reception told me they would go to the room to retrieve the items and call me back to arrange posting. I received a phone call over 24 hours later on Sunday evening to say that none of my items were found.

Very disappointed, bad slow service
We had booked a table for a party of 10 to round off a weekend away celebrating friends 40th birthdays. Having walked for an hour to get to the pub we were very thirsty and ordered drinks which we had to wait 15 minutes for. We then ordered food with a couple of nibble plates to keep us going. An hour and a half after arriving we still didn't have our main courses. The pub did not appear that busy.

A bloody awful meal
Overpriced food, poor quality. My friend found foreign objects in her pudding, and sent it back. Some staff had attitude, and not acceptable to be moved out of the dining area to continue with our drinks into a packed standing room only bar area from an em[ty dinning area. Was advised this place was recommended, it was crap.

Would not recommend to anyone!
Booked a family meal for my sons birthday yesterday, what a disappointment. Some of the choices that our family ordered had run out, bearing in mind it was only 4.30pm, then some of the meals were under cooked. Next was the sweet course, no chocolate ice cream, someone ordered the lemon sorbet cheese cake and guess what no lemon sorbet left also they had run out of baileys for our coffee. It was a very disappointing evening and would never go again.

I was mis sold my room at the Aztec Hotel
I selected the hotel using the 'refine search' functions and found one with a pool. I booked this and it was not until I had my payment accepted and confirmation that it said the price did not include the pool. apparently this is only for people booking direct. I was mis sold my room, unfortunately this started my stay on a negative and its quite difficult to see positives after you know you have been duped. the hotel blamed booking.com.
